MARK McGhee fears Aberdeen FC’s hopes of reaching the top six will be dead if they fail to beat St Johnstone tomorrow.

Aberdeen FC trail sixth placed Hearts by seven points in the race to reach the SPL’s elite after the split, but have two games in hand.

But with nine games without a victory, Aberdeen FC boss McGhee insists the Saints clash is a “must win”.

I know the paper has to print something, and the headline is FACT but............ Currently I cringe every time I hear that Dingus has spoken to the press. Almost every time it is something daft. We know we have to win, keep it within the dressing room please. How many times do we have to motivate the oposition or de-motivate our own team. This season has been a disaster. I want for McGhee to be a sucess, but he has a hard job to turn things round, the relationship with the team the press and the fans, is at an all time low. We should not be embarssaed to read stories about our team, but I am now........
