A LANE on a busy Aberdeen road is to be closed for work to be carried out, creating possible delays.
The left lane of the northbound side of Market Street in Aberdeen will be shut between its junctions with Palmerston Road and Union Square car park on Monday from 9.30am until 4pm.
Aberdeen City Council said the closure was being made in the interests of public safety during BT duct-laying work.
The works will not affect access to Aberdeen’s Union Square car park.
Motorists in Aberdeen are already facing delays on another nearby road while a traffic island is fitted and maintenance work carried out.
A section of Aberdeen’s North Esplanade East is closed for up to seven weeks between Market Street and Clyde Street.
Traffic is being diverted via Albert Quay and Clyde Street.
