DETECTIVES searching for a missing Dundee mum were today due to stage a reconstruction of her movements on the night she disappeared.
Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of Mary McLaren, 34, who was last seen early on Thursday, February 25.
Mum-of-three Mary McLaren visited Fat Sams nightclub in Dundee with her sister and was last seen in Marketgait at around 3am with a man she met at the club.
Today three police officers were to dress in clothes similar to those worn by Ms McLaren, her sister and the man, who police have now traced and spoken to.
The re-enactment, which was to be filmed, was to show the two women leaving the Gauger Bar in Dundee’s Seagate and making their way to the club in South Ward Road and would focus on Ms McLaren’s movements.
Det Chief Insp Shaun McKillop, of Tayside Police, said: “Not only will this provide us with an essential briefing tool for officers working on the inquiry, more importantly we hope that by showing the reconstruction publicly it will trigger something in somebody’s memory and help us find Mary.”
More than 50 officers and police staff are now working on the inquiry and officers are using Holmes – the Home Office Large Major Enquiry System – to help them with the investigation.
