A PENSIONER has admitted failing to keep guns and ammunition safe at his Inverurie home.
Appearing at Aberdeen Sheriff Court, George McBain, 72, admitted failing to comply with the conditions of his firearms certificate by failing to secure shooting equipment on October 30 last year.
McBain admitted a further charge of failing to secure a shotgun on the same date at his home address – which was listed in court papers as 8 Cunninghill Road, Inverurie.
The Inverurie pensioner denied a further charge of failing to sign the shotgun certificate.
His not guilty plea was accepted by the Crown.
McBain is set to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court later this month to face sentence on the charges he admitted.
