MY little sister is usually pretty easy to entertain when she comes to visit.
So long as I am loaded up with gossip and have plenty tea on hand, she’s happy.
And I know I don’t have to go to any trouble conjuring up fancy homemade food – so it seemed the ideal opportunity to indulge in some takeaway.
We opted for Wing’s Cuisine and were delighted with the choice.
For starters we shared some satay chicken skewers (£3.80). The well-seasoned chicken was melt-in the mouth and the accompanying peanut sauce was deliciously rich.
For my main I opted for the special fried rice with barbecue sauce (£6). The generous portion of rice shot through with veg, chicken and pork was really tasty – but the sauce was too oily for my liking.
My sis went for the honey chilli chicken (£4.70). Tender portions of meat were coated in light batter and served in a sauce which had a hefty kick. With a portion of noodles (£2.50) the tasty meal came to around £17.
