PETERHEAD FC winger Graeme Sharp is hungry for more goals today against Stirling.
The former Montrose man finally got off the mark for the season with a crucial brace in last week’s win over Dumbarton.
And the skilful wide-man today admitted he is determined to bag more goals to help shoot Neale Cooper’s side up the table.
He said: “It was great to finally get my first goals of the season last week – it took longer than I expected.
“Sometimes you just don’t get the rub of the green in front of goal and this season it has taken me a while to get my first goals.
“As always I have set myself a goals target but I won’t be too disappointed if I don’t reach that target.”
Sharp is one of the chief goal threats in Peterhead’s team, and stands out as one of the most consistently dangerous wingers in Division Two.
Although he may not have got on the scoresheet much this season, the 25-year-old insists that so long as he is helping create goals for others he is happy.
He said: “As a winger, my primary job is to provide assists for other players.
“For me, to create a goal is just as good as scoring one myself.
“So long as the team are scoring goals and winning games that is all that counts.”
