A SCHOOL bus careered off an Aberdeenshire today road and landed on its side in a field.
The yellow double-decker Stagecoach Bluebird school bus crashed as it was on its way to pick up school pupils.
The school bus crash happened on the B999 Aberdeen to Tarves road, near Udny Station at 8.10am.
It was believed the school bus was heading to Tarves to collect Meldrum Academy pupils.
Today a spokesman for Stagecoach Bluebird said the bus “slid into a soft verge and down an embankment”.
He said the Aberdeenshire school bus crash happened on a bend as a car approached in the opposite direction.
“The bus driver was shaken, but uninjured,” the spokesman added.
