X-CELLENT … that was the verdict of 4,700 ecstatic fans as the X Factor stars wowed Aberdeen.
And the screams from Aberdeen fans guarantees all the X Factor stars a warm stay at the AECC for their four-day sell-out.
The whole arena exploded in a roar of cheers, whooping and clapping as the audience got to their feet for the opening number, I Gotta Feeling, and eight of the X Factor’s final contestants were revealed.
The Aberdeen audience were kept on their feet as Jamie Archer ran on stage giving an energetic performance of the Kings of Leon tune Sex On Fire.
Danyl Johnson then slowed things down and treated the crowd to a powerful rendition of Purple Rain.
And it wasn’t long before the moment everyone had secretly been waiting for – Jedward arrived on stage.
Fans screamed with delight as they sang Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby). The duo pranced around the Aberdeen stage and lapped up the attention, before returning later to perform Ghostbusters.
Olly Murs showed he was a true entertainer as he grooved around the stage revealing his adored dance moves to the hits Twist and Shout and Superstition.
Likewise, Stacey Solomon showed she was a star in her own right as she took to the stage to sing a selection of her show highlights, including Who Wants To Live Forever? and Queen Of The Night.
Little Lloyd Daniels wowed the younger Aberdeen fans with his renditions of Cry Me A River and Stand By Me.
And Lucie Jones rocked the crowd with Sweet Child of Mine.
But the loudest cheer of the evening came when Joe, the X Factor champ stepped on stage.
He thrilled the Aberdeen audience as he excitedly danced around the stage singing Don’t Stop Believin’.
The X Factor stars might have cut their showbiz teeth on TV, but last night they proved they can effortlessly entertain their Aberdeen fans when they get up close and personal.
