Police drop inquiry into ‘attack’ on Ranger’s goalkeeper

THE fiancee of Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has been charged with wasting police time.
Leah Shevlin, 27, was reported to the Procurator Fiscal after being quizzed by detectives investigating a reported assault on the player.
It is understood they are no longer probing the alleged assault
McGregor, 28, was said to have suffered eye and back injuries in a disturbance in Glasgow city centre on Saturday, February 20.
Shevlin reportedly said she later found McGregor injured near their home.
The player received treatment at Glasgow’s Southern General hospital and was later discharged.
McGregor reported the alleged assault to police two days later, telling detectives the attack happened in Bath Street.
