MUSE and Kasabian were the big winners at the NME Awards, but Oasis failed to pick up any gongs despite three nominations.
Riding high after their success at the Brits, Kasabian scooped Best Album and Best Album Artwork awards for West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum.
Muse, fronted by Matt Bellamy, picked up two awards, beating Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Biffy Clyro and Kasabian to be named Best British Band as well as receiving Best Website.
Arctic Monkeys, who had most nominations with six, were named Best Live Band after their sell-out tour last year.
La Roux bagged her first NME award – best dancefloor filler – for In For The Kill.
