RANGERS goalkeeper Allan McGregor received medical treatment following a disturbance at a taxi rank in Glasgow, it was reported today.
Rangers Football Club said 28-year-old Allan McGregor had been involved in an “incident” in Glasgow city centre on Saturday night.
McGregor is said to have received a graze to his back after being attacked by up to three men in Glasgow’s Bath Street.
It was reported Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor had been attending a Celtic player’s birthday party at a Glasgow nightclub when he was hurt.
The Rangers player later underwent X-rays at a private clinic, according to a newspaper paper.
Strathclyde Police said it had not received a report of the alleged Glasgow incident.
The alleged assault on Allan McGregor in Glasgow followed Rangers’ postponed Clydesdale Bank Premier League game at St Johnstone.
McGregor has spent his entire professional football career at Rangers, joining the Glasgow club in 1998.
