PETER Andre is set to play his first Aberdeen gig in more than a decade.

The singer will perform at the P&J Arena of the AECC on December 16 as part of a UK-wide arena tour, announced today.

The news came as Peter Andre was set to embark on his sold-out 38-date Revelation spring tour from next week.

AECC bosses expect tickets to be snapped up for the Aberdeen gig when they go on sale on Friday, February 19.

Brian Horsburgh, managing director of the AECC, said: “It is fantastic to hear that Peter Andre is coming to Aberdeen in December.

“His spring tour of smaller venues is a sell out and I anticipate his arena tour will be the same.”

Peter last played the AECC in 1997 – to a sell-out crowd.

The Revelation tour is on the back of his successful album of the same name, released last year.

He has also just released a new album, Unconditional Love Songs. On the tour he plans to treat audiences to tracks from both new albums – including top five single Behind Closed Doors.

He will also belt out some of his previous classic hits, including Mysterious Girl which made him a household name in the mid-1990s, when he had eight top five singles to his credit, including four number one hits.

Peter became a reality I’m a Celebrity ...Get me out of Here, where he found love with model Katie Price. After a short relationship, the pair, who have two children, divorced last year.
