Car and lorry collide on Commerce Street

A BUSY Aberdeen street was blocked today after a smash involving a Jaguar and a lorry.
Police were called to the scene of the crash on Aberdeen’s Commerce Street at about 11.30am.
The accident, involving a black Jaguar X-type, blocked the road for more than an hour.
The car was shunted on to the pavement in the accident and the back of the Jaguar was left crumpled.
A Grampian Police spokesman said: “The road was blocked as a result of the collision and officers were waiting on the vehicles to be uplifted.
“Aberdeen City Council was also attending to help clear up a spillage which occurred as a result of the incident.
“Neither driver was injured in the collision.”
