TWO people escaped with minor cuts and bruises after their car landed on its roof on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverurie road.

The Honda Civic crashed into a field and overturned after the accident on the southbound carriageway of the A96, near Marshall Trailers.

The crash followed a fatal accident on the A90 Aberdeen to Fraserburgh road on Sunday.

A two-year-old girl was left seriously ill after a crash claimed the lives of her mum and dad.

The family were in their Vauxhall Frontera when it left the road, careered down an embankment then overturned.

Vladimir Ruhno, 34, and Karina Lukjanska, 38, from Fraserburgh, died after the smash between Cortes and Lonmay.
