AFTER a weekend of entertaining, the thought of adding more plates to the washing-up pile wasn’t appealing.
So, I headed to Pizza Hut delivery where they do dinner in a box.
After swithering over starters, I opted for the six jalapeno poppers (£3.49).
The finger-food favourites were stuffed with a heavy, mild-flavoured cream cheese.
Sadly for a spice-fiend like myself, the kick was mild to medium but delicious nonetheless.
I did ask for a sour cream and chive dip (39p) to go with the dish, however it never arrived.
For my main I chose a medium Italian sizzling chicken pizza, £10.99.
The lack of spice in the poppers was more than made up for with the chillis, jalapenos and Cajun chicken here. The pizza was bursting with flavour and my only gripe was the chicken pieces were a little chewy.
Teamed with a side order of coleslaw (£1.79) this delicious feast left me sufficiently stuffed and the only tidying required was to put the boxes in the recycling.
