Video: Floods after heavy rain and gale-force winds
Concern River Carron could burst its banks

GALES and torrential rain brought widespread disruption as flooding hit the region.
Today forecasters said up to 1.2in (3cm) of rain fell across some parts of the area – with a chance of snow arriving in the next few days.
The heavy rains started in the early hours of Saturday morning.
One of the worst affected areas was Stonehaven where police and fire officers joined Aberdeenshire Council workers to keep watch on the rising River Carron.
Large pallets of sandbags were dropped off at Stonehaven’s Market Square, and other points in the town, over fears the river could burst its banks like it did in November.
Landslips sent piles of mud and debris into the garden of one Stonehaven home.
Part of Bervie Braes in Stonehaven broke away after the prolonged downpour, raining rubble around the home of Richard Barnes and his partner Noel McDonnell.
The rain added to the water on the region’s roads, caused by the thaw of snow and ice.
Drivers were forced to slow to a crawl on the A947 Oldmeldrum to Turriff road on Saturday morning after a 131ft (40m) stretch of the road was submerged by rainwater.
The area, about three miles north of Fyvie, was under 1ft (0.3m) of water.
And about 4in (10cm) of water collected on a section of the B9170 Inverurie to Oldmeldrum Road, about a mile outside Inverurie.
Meanwhile, high winds pulled free a large concrete block from a building on Ellon’s Bridge Street.
And council staff were then called on to remove a large tree which had blown down on to Millwood Road, near Auchterellon School.
