A PARKED car flew into the air and landed in an Aberdeen garden today – after being hit by a van.
The black Peugeot 206 was sent careering backwards into the garden in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen when the van smashed into the front of the car.
Residents today told how they heard a loud bang before finding the car perched in a bush.
The crash happened on Bridge of Don’s Braehead Way at 8am.
The van driver was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, drivers were delayed when a lorry got stuck in snow today.
The incident happened on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road, near the Colpy turn-off, at 11.30am.
Today, emergency services were scrambled when a blue Renault and blue MG collided on the northbound A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road near Portlethen.
Black ice also caused a spate of crashes on roads around Aberdeen.
Emergency crews had to rescue a woman who was trapped inside her blue Renault Clio after it landed on its roof on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road, near Kintore.
Officers were also called to one-car crash on the A920 Ellon to Oldmeldrum road, near Pitmedden, at 8.45pm.
A car careered off the A96, near Glens of Foudland, with the driver treated by paramedics at the scene.
Four cars went off the B9170 Inverurie to Oldmeldrum road, near Barra Castle, at 7.05pm. No one was injured.
And two cars were involved in a smash on the A93 Aberdeen to Ballater road, near Aboyne, at 4.25pm yesterday.
