Vehicle hit bridge north of Peterhead

A CAR flipped on to its roof after crashing into a bridge near Peterhead.
The crash happened on the A90 Peterhead to Fraserburgh road.
Emergency crews were scrambled to the scene of the crash at the Inverugie Bridge yesterday just before 10pm.
The car crashed into Inverugie Bridge, before careering down an embankment.
The male driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries in the crash.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the driver was taken by ambulance to Peterhead Community Hospital for treatment.
A Grampian Police said: “Officers attended a call to a vehicle which had landed on its roof beside the Inverugie Bridge. The road was closed for a short time until the vehicle was removed.”
Crews from Grampian Fire and Rescue Service had to help the driver out of the car after the crash.
A spokesman said: “Two fire engines were in attendance.”
He added: “Fire crews had to help the driver out of the vehicle.”
