Aberdeen stripper to appeal conviction

‘Sgt Eros’ impersonated a police officer

AN ABERDEEN stripper hopes to overturn his conviction for impersonating a police officer.

Stuart Kennedy was branded a danger to the public after he used a flashing light in his car to pull over motorists at Peterhead and on the outskirts of Aberdeen in June 2008.

Despite denying the offences, Kennedy, also known by his stage name of Sergeant Eros, was convicted at Peterhead Sheriff Court in June this year.

Kennedy, whose address was given in court papers as flat E, 28 Don Street, Aberdeen, was fined £400 and ordered to do 200 hours of community service.

The Scottish Court Service has now confirmed the Aberdeen man is to appeal his conviction.
