Craig would want free rein to run things his way

CRAIG Levein is set to demand more than just the power to manage the Scotland team when he meets up with the SFA next week.

Dundee United boss Levein has confirmed he is “100% interested” in becoming the national coach.

Despite having recently signed a three-year contract with United, the 45-year-old will quit Tannadice if he is convinced the SFA will give him a free rein to run things his way.

And that would mean having powers that extend beyond simply picking the Scotland team.
