THOUGHT I’d take a break from regaling you with unexpected tales from the rock ‘n’ roll road this week and catch up with what’s been happening on the world stage.
Tony Blair was being questioned over the legality of the Iraq War.
Tell me Tony, what is a weapon of mass destruction? I’d really like to know please!
Is it a bomb, a missile, a rocket-propelled grenade, what exactly?
Furthermore, I’d like the make, model and serial number of these weapons along with the manufacturer and country of origin.
I don’t believe Iraq ever had any nuclear capability whatsoever and only improved the range capability of the Scud missiles they bought from Russia.
This country is in a right old mess and the world is in an even worse state.
I’m absolutely sickened at the thought of £1.5 billion being paid to RBS bankers as a Christmas bonus.
This is money from a public purse already heavily in the red.
The bankers really do run this planet. There’s no doubt about it now, our political leaders have absolutely no power.
If you’re looking for the puppet masters then you need look no further than the big city fat cats, for they truly are the ones manipulating the strings of every single person on the planet.
I always thought the prime directive of government was to serve its people.
How can it be though? When a government no longer controls its nation’s industry and was never in charge of its own monetary system to begin with, it ceases to be a sovereign state.
RBS is now a majority state-owned bank and yet the government is powerless to do anything.
It’s becoming clear to me government these days is nothing more than a convenient tool of the new global super-elite.
They use economics and the rule of law to enforce various mandates designed to keep us afraid – and while we’re afraid we’re distracted from the truth, ignorant of the bigger picture and making them more money. (See the never-ending wars based on lies, the threat of terror, swine flu, climate change, etc.)
Seriously, all the mud slinging you read about in the papers, Labour saying this, Tories saying that, Cameron vs Brown, it’s a farce.
It’s theatre, a puppet show with lots of magic tricks employing misdirection.
The right/left, red/blue party political distinction is totally false, there is no real choice, only an illusion of choice.
We even have the Liberal party thrown in to fool us into thinking we have a third option.
But for most of us that’s too much, we like things simple ... Coke or Pepsi – Burger King or MacDonald's.
I would do away with the party system entirely and install a government of qualified, hard-working, intelligent, decent folk to run our affairs. But in order for that to happen and for them to be of the right stuff, we’d need a revolution first.
We must abandon our allegiance to political parties altogether.
At the end of the day, they all serve the same master.
