PETERHEAD hitman John Stewart is prepared to snub offers from Division One sides to extend his stay at Balmoor.
The former Aberdeen FC striker, nicknamed Budgie, signed a short-term deal with the Blue Toon in October that expires on January 3.
He has enjoyed a productive spell with Neale Cooper’s side, banging in three goals in 10 games, and will hope to add to his tally tonight at Dumbarton.
Stewart, 24, said: “There has been some interest from Division One clubs and Division Two clubs.
“Nothing can happen until the January transfer window, so I will just have to wait and see what happens.
“But I am absolutely loving it at Peterhead.
“The manager has been brilliant with me, the boys have been brilliant with me and I’m really enjoying my football.
“I’m playing every week and scoring goals, which is what I needed.
“My contract is nearly up here and I would be more than happy to discuss extending it until the end of the season.”
