ABERDEEN’S Stuart Holden could be in line for a glamour World Cup clash with England

The USA international, who moved from the Granite City to the States with his family in 1996, is likely to be in Bob Bradley’s squad for the finals, which kick-off in South Africa next June.

The Americans will take on the might of Fabio Capello’s England in their opening Group C clash in Rustenburg on June 12.

Holden, who was last month linked with a move to Aberdeen, has won 12 caps for his adopted country, and scored the winning goal in the USA’s win over Japan in their first game at last year’s Olympics.

Algeria and Slovenia make up Group C for the tournament, which gets underway with South Africa v Mexico on June 11.
