NEALE Cooper will tonight challenge two players to come into his team and become Scottish Cup heroes.

Peterhead are without influential duo Martin Bavidge and Graeme Sharp for the third round replay against Raith at Balmoor due to work commitments.

The winners will play First Division Airdrie at home on January 9 or 10.

Dougie Cameron and Peter-Alexander Bruce are the most likely contenders to step up from the bench, while Neil McVitie could also earn a starting spot.

Cooper wants whoever is added to his side to take their chance to shine.

He said: “Martin and Graeme are two of our most experienced players.

“But we are a part-time club and these things happen.

“We can’t do anything about it and just have to get on with it.

“Whoever comes in, it’s a chance for them.

“Dougie Cameron did well recently when he came on against Arbroath in the league.

“He is not an out-and-out winger but he would give us balance because he is a left-sided player.

“He is one of the options.

“Peter-Alexander could also come in up front or out wide.”
