Clooney shines at Fantastic Mr Fox premiere

ACTOR George Clooney hogged the limelight at the opening night of the London Film Festival after his co-star, Meryl Streep, bowed out due to illness.

George Clooney, who was accompanied by his Italian girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, voices the title role in Wes Anderson’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox and Meryl Streep voices his wife.

“It’s great to be here,” Clooney said of the festival, which has three of his films in its programme.

Clooney also signed autographs for fans, who had gathered at the film’s world premiere.
