PENALTY king Kevin Webster scored his fifth spot-kick of the season as Cove Rangers swept aside Inverurie Locos.
The winger has netted nine times in total, already beating his best tally for a term.
Webster is confident he can now get his name on the scoresheet many more times before the end of the campaign.
He said: “The most goals I’ve had before in a season was eight when I was with Montrose.
“That was number nine, so hopefully I can get a few more.
“I just need to get a few from outside the box as well, instead of the penalties.
“But I suppose they need to be scored as well and they all count.”
A strong wind at Harlaw Park almost forced referee Graham Fraser to abandon the game.
After 16 minutes, with Cove Rangers in the lead, Fraser told visiting co-manager Jerry O’Driscoll he would end the match if the gale got worse.
But the contest continued – a decision which Inverurie Locos boss Dave Cormie supported.
His only complaint was that it should never have been in doubt.
Cormie said: “I come from an era where that game definitely should have been played from the start.
“The problem we had was that the referee, from half-an-hour before kick-off until half-time, convinced himself it shouldn’t have gone ahead.
“The only thing that kept him playing the game was the scoreline.
“Had it only been 1-0 at half-time, we wouldn’t have gone out for the second half.
“But I didn’t think at any point the game was unplayable.”
Goals from Ritchie Livingstone, Robbie Henderson and Barrie Stephen completed the scoring for Cove Rangers.
