Boost for injury-hit Aberdeen FC defender
Ifil set to return to action

ABERDEEN FC today received an injury boost with Jerel Ifil set to return to action ahead of schedule.
Ifil is on course to be available for the visit of Hearts to Pittodrie on October 17.
It was originally feared the centre-back would be sidelined for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury sustained in the 0-0 draw with Rangers.
But scans have shown the injury was not as bad as first feared.
Aberdeen FC boss Mark McGhee said: “Jerel may have a chance of making the Hearts game, which would be sooner than expected.
“But with hamstring injuries, you just have to take it day by day.”
