Lafferty poised to face up to Mulgrew again
Gers star set for Ibrox recall

RANGERS are set to recall Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty for Saturday’s SPL clash with Aberdeen FC at Ibrox.
It would put Lafferty on course to face up to Aberdeen FC defender Charlie Mulgrew for the first time since their infamous clash at Ibrox on May 16.
Lafferty feigned injury to get Mulgrew sent-off in the game, which Rangers went on to win 2-1.
Referee Stuart Dougal, who has since retired from the game, reviewed the incident in which Lafferty crashed to the turf holding his face as if he had been head-butted by Mulgrew.
The whistler admitted he made the wrong decision.
The SFA then rescinded Mulgrew’s red card and handed Lafferty a two-match ban for deceiving the official.
Lafferty also issued an apology for his actions, which Dons defender Mulgrew accepted.
Lafferty hasn’t played for Rangers so far this season because of suspension and a knee injury suffered playing for his country against Poland in a World Cup qualifier.
But a return against the Dons will put added pressure on referee Iain Brines, who is in charge of Saturday’s clash between the teams.
