KEVIN Tindal is hoping to pick up his first trophy as Cove co-manager in the final of the Evening Express Aberdeenshire Cup.

The former Peterhead player took charge at Allan Park in the summer along with Jerry O’Driscoll, and he would love to get his first piece of silverware as boss under his belt with victory over Buckie Thistle tomorrow.

He said: “The boys have done fantastically well and all credit to them.

“If we can lift the trophy, it would be a reward for everyone at the club and the work they put in.”

Tindal and O’Driscoll have enjoyed a successful start to their managerial careers.

Wisely, they chose not to make wholesale changes to the playing squad, with the only incoming summer transfers being Danny Milne and Roddy Black.

“It’s been a lot busier than I ever expected,” said Tindal.

“I didn’t really appreciate how busy I would be with off-the-park matters.

“Your phone has got to be on all the time, but I am really enjoying it.”
