Slimmed down Considine impresses Aberdeen FC boss
McGhee backs defender to get upwardly mobile

ABERDEEN FC defender Andrew Considine has slimmed down to strengthen his chances of staying in Mark McGhee’s side.
Mark revealed the 22-year-old has lost a stone in weight, which has helped increase his mobility on the pitch.
The Aberdeen FC manager was delighted with Considine’s determined performance in the goal-less draw against Motherwell last Saturday.
Mark claimed until recently Considine would have been his third-choice centre-half behind Jerel Ifil and Zander Diamond, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury.
But Considine helped Aberdeen FC to clean sheets against Hamilton and Motherwell in their last two games, boosting his chances of keeping his place for the visit to Falkirk a week on Monday.
Mark said: “Andrew was excellent against Motherwell. I have been pressurising him and he knows his place has been under threat.
“He knows of the three central defenders – Zander, Jerel and himself – that when they are fit, up until recently he would probably be the one who would sit it out.
“He’s determined to show me that it shouldn’t be him.
“He has lost a stone in weight over the summer, and physically, he’s better.
“He looks more mobile and he can get off the ground better.”
