DANNY Milne came back to haunt his old side as Cove Rangers and Inverurie Locos served up an eight-goal thriller.

The champions’ 5-3 win knocked Dave Cormie’s side out of the Evening Express Aberdeenshire Cup, and Cove will now face Huntly in the semi-finals next Tuesday.

Milne bagged two goals in his first appearance against his old side since his move from Harlaw Park, and was delighted to get on the scoresheet.

He said: “I was getting a wee bit of stick, but you’re always going to get that against old-team-mates.

“It was a hard game to play in because Locos have so many good players.

“I’ve had a bit of a slow start since moving here, I picked up a couple of injuries, so it was great to be back among the goals; that’s two games in a row now where I’ve scored.”
