IN THESE times of financial hardship, we are all looking for a way to save a bit of cash yet still enjoy ourselves.

But when you are trying to save for a wedding, it’s even worse.

With nights out limited and every penny under lock and key, my fiancee and I decided for set meal No.2 from this Westhill eatery.

We opted for the chicken pakora to start with, and although the chicken was nice and succulent, the batter was disappointingly soft and lacked crispiness.

Our next course – Bombay potato – on the other hand was completely different. The sauce had the perfect kick to it while the tender potatoes just lapped it up.

For our main courses, we went for chicken rogan josh and chicken dopiaza.

Both dishes had a nice array of flavours to them, but were just lacking the bit of oomph required to take them up a level.

Including two pilau rice and a naan bread, the total cost was £20.
