Aberdeen man grabbed police officer’s face

AN ABERDEEN man attacked a police officer by grabbing his face, a court heard.

Ryan Dunbar appeared from custody at Aberdeen Sheriff Court where he admitted a string of charges.

The 32-year-old attacked Pc Austin Stevenson by pushing him and grabbing at his face at Grampian Police headquarters.

On the same day at Mastrick Drive, Aberdeen, he broke the peace by shouting, swearing and uttering threats.

Dunbar also admitted breaking the peace by shouting, swearing and making derogatory comments at Evans Halshaw on Aberdeen’s Lang Stracht on June 26.

He further admitted sending offensive text messages at 173 Bonnyview Drive, Aberdeen, between May 23 and June 16.

Sentence was deferred on Dunbar, whose address was given in Aberdeen Sheriff Court papers as 43 Willowpark Crescent, Aberdeen, for reports.
