NEW Motherwell boss Jim Gannon will ask for a large portion of the near £1 million generated by the sale of David Clarkson and Paul Quinn.
The former Stockport manager has been drafted in as replacement for Mark McGhee, who moved to Aberdeen.
Gannon was being unveiled as the new Motherwell boss at Fir Park today.
Motherwell chairman John Boyle said: “We cast our net very wide and Jim was a good candidate who we are delighted has accepted the position.”
“There were a lot of big names in the running and that confirms our reputation as a club that is seen as quite adventurous.
“Jim has the right credentials.”
