A MUSIC festival expert has been astounded by the talent in Aberdeen.

The centenary of the Aberdeen and North-east of Scotland Music Festival, which runs until Friday, welcomed Jacqui Wilson – representing the British Federation of Music Festivals – to the Aberdeen event.

Jacqui Wilson, from Inverness, has been assessing the Aberdeen and North-east of Scotland Music Festival competitors and she said she was amazed at the standard at the Aberdeen event.

Today, hundreds of young recorder players took to the stage at the Boys’ Brigade HQ in Crimond Place, Aberdeen.

Competitions at the Aberdeen and North-east of Scotland Music Festival continue daily, with classes in venues across Aberdeen.
