Fusion: Holburn Street, Aberdeen

BY THE time Tuesday rolls around all my good intentions about having a healthy eating week always go out the window.
So, after eating the previous night’s leftovers for lunch, I decided a treat was on the cards for dinner.
Cue a trip to Fusion on the way home. Feeling peckish, I ordered sesame-tossed chicken strips (£3.50) and seaweed (£3.50) for starters.
The tender lightly-battered chicken pieces were coated in a sticky sweet sauce with a few sesame seeds scattered on top. The blend of sweet and sour was so scrumptious that I’d nearly finished before I’d arrived home. But the seaweed’s salt content was so potent, I only managed a few bites.
For the main course I opted for the Malaysian chilli chicken (£5) with noodles (£2). The tasty dish was full of large chicken chunks and an array of crunchy veg.
While the sauce did have a light kick, it lacked the three-chilli punch it promised. However the full-flavoured dish, with its garlic and onion overtones, was so more-ish that I managed to polish off the lot.
