VANDALS caused up to £4,000 of damage when they targeted 21 cars parked in two Aberdeen streets.

The vehicles were hit in the spree of vandalism which happened on the city’s Froghall Terrace and Merkland Road.

Wing mirrors were damaged on the cars and the cost of repairs was estimated at up to £4,000.

IT worker Rick Doug, 24, was among the motorists whose cars were targeted.

His girlfriend Lauren Smith said Rick was fuming over the attack and had to carry out a make-shift repair on his car.

Grampian Police were today hunting for two men spotted in the area at the time of the attacks.

One man was in his late teens, and between 5ft 6in and 5ft 7in tall.

He was slim with very short, black hair and was wearing a navy blue T-shirt and tracksuit bottoms.

The other man was in his early 20s and around 5ft 4in. He was of medium build and was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top.

The attacks took place between 3am and 3.30am on Monday.
