Korova: Bridge Street, Aberdeen

WITH one of my good pals heading off for a new start in New Zealand, I decided to treat her to lunch at one of Aberdeen’s newest bars.
And with belts being tightened across the world, I was delighted to find the Korova Kredit Krunch Munch menu.
None of this “20 different items at a heap of different prices” nonsense you find in some places – simply a number dishes for the same price.
My decision seemed evermore genius-like when my burger arrived accompanied by a light salad and tasty chips (a simple £6).
The minced beef burger just oozed loveliness, and it really had a proper home-made taste to it, something so often lacking in restaurants.
The chips were exactly the same, as I munched my way to heaven.
My pal Hayley made me feel guilty by going for the slightly healthier Cajun chicken caesar salad (£6).
Mammoth pieces of lettuce engulfed the zingy chicken, while the dressing on top just complemented the whole dish perfectly.
While I was too full to even attempt a pudding, Hayley felt the need to squeeze more money out of me by indulging in a gorgeous chocolate mousse (£4.50).
Again with a home-made taste, the mousse had a melt-in-the-mouth quality and I nicked a quick bite.
Along with a couple of drinks and a tea and coffee, the total bill came to £24.50.
