No third parking permit for Aberdeen zones
Permits limited to two per Aberdeen household

ABERDEEN City Council transport bosses have ruled out issuing a third parking permit to residents living in areas with parking zones.
Council officials investigated whether it would be possible to introduce more parking permits per household for some areas of Aberdeen.
The issue had been raised by people living in the West End, Rubislaw and near Aberdeen University, who may be getting resident parking permit zones.
A report to Aberdeen City Council’s controlled parking working group said introducing the parking permits could cost as much as £1,200 each.
It said this would stop the “potential for abuse”.
The report said: “It is recommended that the limit of two parking permits per household be maintained.
“This is due to potential capacity problems, the limited demand and the subsequent necessity to significantly increase the cost of the permit.”
