WHILE my favourite team were tucking in to their pre-match meal ahead of the big game, there was only one meal on my mind – a haggis supper.

Confidence was high – if not in the team then it was in me – as I toddled off to the local chip shop.

With The Boss going for her usual chicken fillet supper (£5), I knew I was in for a wee wait.

But she reckoned it was worthwhile as it quickly vanished back at home. The batter was crispy, while the chicken was nice and soft.

My haggis pudding supper (£3.70) was the perfect way to gear up for the game.

A lovely crunchy coating with a succulent, slightly spicy centre ... heaven. It’s just a pity my team couldn’t follow the chipper’s form.
