Wings Cuisine: Cornhill Shopping Arcade, Aberdeen

BEING sucked in by the sofa one weeknight, my boyfriend and I decided to give cooking a miss.
And a menu for the recently-opened Wings Cuisine had fallen through the letterbox. So, with fate pushing us, we gave it a go.
For starters I chose the prawn wantons (£3). The crispy parcels of seafood were lighter than air with a salty centre and a fab chilli sauce.
My boyfriend went for his favourite – sesame prawn toast (£3.50). The often-greasy croutons were crisp and tasty.
For main course, I had honey chilli king prawns (£5.50). A generous portion of lightly-battered seafood was served in a tangy sauce with a fantastic kick.
My partner chose the Hong Kong-style sweet and sour pork (£4.80) – a hefty portion of meat bound in a heady, piquant sauce.
With chef’s special rice (£3), shot through with chunks of meat and spring onions, plus noodles (£2.50), prawn crackers and cashew nuts (£2.50), it came to about £25.
It was worth every penny – one of the best Chinese takeaways we’ve had in a long time.
