Pizza The Action: Redcloak Drive, Stonehaven

THERE are two things that I simply can’t resist in life – puns and stuffing my face.

So imagine my delight when I discovered a new place that promised to bring those two passions together.

I mean, who can resist somewhere called Pizza The Action? Not me, especially if it meant dodging my turn at making the family dinner.

Our feast arrived exactly when we were told it would – to the minute – and we were rewarded with two huge 14-inch pizzas to savour.

The Meat, Meat, Meat – no play on words there – was a riot of spicy beef, succulent ham, spicy pepperoni and bacon, all on the thinnest of thin bases with a tangy tomato sauce.

At £11.45 it was a real bargain and would have almost fed us on its own.

But we had also invited the seafood pizza (£10.45) to the party and it was the most popular choice. All tuna, onions and sweetcorn, there was a bit of a scramble for that one.

With everyone “mmm-ing” away, it’s fair to say we’ll be grabbing a pizza the action in future.
