WHEN a menu drops through the door, there is only one thing for it – pick it up and order a takeaway to see in the New Year.
We decided to go for the chef’s platter for two (£5.50) to get our feast underway.
The chicken chaat, chicken tikka, chicken pakora and aloo tiki went down a treat.
The pakora had a nice crispy finish, while the chicken tikka was tender and moist.
The only downside was our struggle to get through the massive portion, although that hardly counts as a hardship.
My chicken jalfrezi (£7.95) main course and pilau rice (£1.80) was the perfect way to blow the winter cobwebs away.
The spicy sauce hit just the right spot. My girlfriend, though, felt her south Indian garlic chicken (£7.95), while tasty, was lacking that certain something.
Along with a plain naan bread, the total bill came to £25.10.
